B&O Roundhouse
The train yard was an exquisite photo shoot location. The snow and rain gave the already rustic and abandoned feel a more deserted and uninhabited look. The lighting was extremely bright, the snow did give the B&O roundhouse a great look but it also made for a lot of overexposed pictures. I believe that the few shots I took that were a bit overexposed have a good vibe with the brightness. The shots I took were composed for the look of an apocalyptic world. Using Short DOF and Large DOF I could bring attention and remove attention to certain parts of the pictures. By turning down the ISO and keeping it low outside and higher indoors I was able to capture many great shots. The weather chilled everyone to the bone but I pushed on and continued taking shots. The first shot I know is the best of my work from these nine. The way the focus starts in the center of the plaque and fades off. The way the letters are faded, rusting and even falling off. This shot represent the B&O Roundhouse as a whole, extremely well at that.
